Wendy Purnell

PERC
Director of Outreach
Bozeman, MT
As PERC's Director of Outreach, Wendy's job is to help more people understand how property rights and enviropreneurs can resolve environmental conflicts.

PERC—the Property and Environment Research Center—is the nation’s first and largest institute dedicated to improving environmental quality through property rights and markets. Based in Bozeman, Montana, PERC is the home of free market environmentalism.

An alum of PERC's Enviropreneur Institute, Wendy has developed successful habitat restoration and economic development projects with private landowners and micro-entrepreneurs in Nicaragua, where her work was recognized by NatGeo, the InterAmerican Development Bank, and the Clinton Global Initiative.

At the Institute for Humane Studies and the Cato Institute, she created academic and career development curricula for graduate students and aspiring policy analysts. She has also drafted legislative correspondence on Capitol Hill, written advertising copy for Kraft Foods and Disney, and shot commercials for Fiat and Procter & Gamble.

Tell Wendy what environmental issues are most important in your state. Share your stories about environmental problem solvers. Ask why she believes in the power of markets to improve lives and protect ecosystems.
